As you will have no doubt already worked out just from its name, this DNS Data View utility is a GUI alternative to the NSLookup tool that comes with Windows operating system. With DNS Data View you have a practical tool that gives you DNS information on each of the domains you indicate. For each type of specified domain registry it tells you if it's an MX, NS, A or SOA.

In DNS Data View you can use the default DNS servers in your Internet connection, or if you prefer, indicate the specific DNS server you want. The obtained information for each DNS (domain, type of register, hostname, IP address, etc) can be exported to XML, HTML, CSV or TXT formats. If DNS Data View fails to retrieve the DNS records, you should try to manually type the DNS server of your Internet provider.

This DNS Data View program works with all versions of Windows from XP onwards. It is also very easy to download and then use, through its friendly and intuitive user interface. You don't need any technical experience at all to get the most out of it because DNS Data View doesn't require any installation process or additional DLL files. Simply run the executable file - DNSDataView.exe.
